Promoting sustainable ground water development and management for maximum beneficial use without waste or contamination.




Membership in the OGWA offers you an opportunity to utilize your skills and talents and develop new ones. The OGWA is a trade association of people like you who have increased their skills and ability to successfully meet business challenges.


Benefits of OGWA Membership

  • Manufacture & Supplier Exhibition: Held at OGWA’s Spring Technical Seminar every odd numbered year, providing Manufacturing & Supply members exclusive access to attendees.
  • OGWA members have the opportunity to serve as sponsors of annual conferences as outlined here.


  • OGWA employs a lobbyist to work with Oregon legislators to protect the interests of the groundwater industry in Oregon.
  • Government Affairs Committee: Works with lobbyist to actively track legislation in Oregon and organize advocacy to give members a voice with legislators. 
  • Oregon Water Resources Department: OGWA participates in Department rulemaking and groundwater advisory committees to provide ensure the groundwater industry input.

  • OGWA is an affiliate state member of the National Ground Water Association. For more information on NGWA click here.
  • OGWA is a member of the Water Quality Association. For more information on WQA, click here.


  • OGWA members receive periodic electronic bulletins, containing updates on current groundwater issues, and OGWA events.
  • OGWA members receive email communications to provide time sensitive information relevant to the groundwater industry.


  • Large savings on OGWA Bi-Annual seminars, providing fourteen CEU credits per seminar to keep your license current, and invaluable in-person education from veterans in the industry and instructors hand-picked by your fellow groundwater professionals.   • Fuel Discounts: OGWA partners with Supervised Fuels to provide its members with the opportunity to pool their collective buying power to access lower fuel rates. See details here.
  • Legal: Schroeder Law Offices, P.C. provides a free one-hour consultation to OGWA members or referrals from a member. OGWA members also receive up to a 5% discount on Schroeder legal fees. 


    • OGWA members, family, employees, or direct family of employees are eligible for two scholarships, awarded annually each spring. Details can be found here.


Types of Members

Water well drillers, water pump/system installers, and water treatment professionals (or their employees) qualified to and currently providing services in Oregon.


Individuals or businesses manufacturing, selling or jobbing drilling equipment, pumps, supplies or services, or any other person with a legitimate interest in the objectives of OGWA.


Individuals, businesses, institutions (research facility, university, etc.), or government agencies engaged in research, scientific investigation, or technical consulting on groundwater or water wells. Note: regulatory agencies are excluded from this category, but are eligible for Associate membership as outlined below.


Individuals, businesses, or regulatory agencies who have an interest in the affairs of OGWA and do not otherwise qualify for membership.


Any person currently enrolled in a recognized program for the training of water well drillers, water system installers, water treatment specialists, geologists, hydrologists or any other water related subjects.


Persons elected by the OGWA membership to hold membership in recognition of sustained and active interest in the groundwater industry or contributions of value to the industry from research or scientific investigation.


Retired members in good standing in previous years who are elected by the OGWA membership to hold lifetime membership.


Individuals or businesses who have been active contractor members but no longer work in Oregon and wish to remain in OGWA. Note: must provide bona fide evidence to OGWA Board of inactive Oregon status prior to application.
